Director

Matthew Giamou, PhD
Dr. Giamou is an assistant professor in the Department of Computing and Software at McMaster University. As director of ARCO Lab, he is interested in developing novel optimization techniques and applying them to fundamental problems in all aspects of robot perception and planning.
Masters Students

Daksh Mathur
Daksh is pursuing his MSc in Computer Science with ARCO Lab. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering at McMaster University. He is interested in sensor fusion and robotics (estimation and motion planning).

Julian Cecchini
Julian is currently working towards an MSc in CS. He passionately explores anything to do with optimization, with a primary focus towards applications in robotic perception.
Julian did his undergraduate degree in Software Engineering at McMaster and is always happy to discuss campus culture. Outside of school, he enjoys hockey and pretzels.
Undergraduates

Dhilan Teeluckdharry (co-supervised with Dr. Stephen Kelly)
Dhilan is an undergraduate student in Mechatronics Engineering. His research currently focuses on applying evolutionary computing to robotics problems such as visual navigation and localization.
